Smith Prep's core classes integrate Bible, history, literature, composition, grammar, vocabulary, speech/debate, study skills, logic, and critical thinking. Science classes, taught from a biblical perspective, emphasize the glory of God’s creation and order in the world. Additional classes are available for math, Latin, and Forensics (Debate Team).

The purpose of Smith Prep, and the goal of each teacher, is to provide a classroom experience that complements, rather than replaces, the instruction at home. The teachers at Smith Prep are tutors who aid the parents in their efforts to train their children by providing additional coaching, assignments, and the experience of a classroom of peers that is difficult to duplicate in the home setting.
